PRUSSIAN OFFICER'S SWORD, First Empire. 32706
Steel hilt. Single-branch guard. Cap with a long tail. Handle of wood covered in black calf leather with copper filigree. Curved blade with hollow edges, engraved and gilded on its first third on the obverse side with "Rücherinnerung in die zu Limburg seit dem 15 Septb. bis 6 Octobr 1813 Verlebten Tage" in memory of the days spent in Limburg from September 15th to October 6th, 1813, with floral decoration on a bluish background, and on the reverse side engraved and gilded with "Heinrich Huÿssen in Essen" with floral decoration and a military trophy on a bluish background. Blade length 78.5 cm.
Black lacquered calf leather scabbard with three steel fittings decorated with lines and leaf-shaped edges, steel suspension rings. Tip of the scabbard with a lyre-cut chape.

Very good condition, usual oxidation on the blade, leather of the scabbard folded in its center but without any damage.
