FULL DRESS UNIFORM OF A PREFECT, model 1852, Second Empire - Third Republic. 32748
Uniform in dark blue wool fastening at the front with four black lacquered metal hooks. Edges of the uniform embroidered with a band of silver threads, bullion, and sequins, straight on the outside and scalloped towards the inside of the uniform. On the left side, there are nine buttonholes. The front of the uniform is richly embroidered with an interlacing of oak leaves and laurel. The collar is similarly embroidered to the uniform with the same border band and interlacing of the two branches. Epaulets embroidered with two rows of oak leaves and laurel. Waist knot and top of the epaulets also embroidered.
Black silk inner lining, collar lined with black velvet.
