Shako made of cardboard covered with almost black dark blue cloth, height at the front 15 cm, height at the back 19.5 cm. It is adorned with a woven silver lizard braid at the top, height 2.5 cm, and a black varnished leather chinstrap at the bottom, height 2.5 cm. On each side and at the back, a fine silver cord is sewn. Black varnished leather top, Ø 14 cm. Black varnished leather visor, rounded shape, 5.5 cm wide. Metallic cockade embossed with a tricolor lacquered radiant sun, Ø 5.2 cm. Front plate in gilded brass with a browned relief part with agate stone, representing an uncrowned imperial eagle, head to the right, standing on a globe with a sparkling Jupiter's thunderbolt, oak branch, and laurel branch. Plate height 12.8 cm, width 13.2 cm.
Interior leather headband with seven sawtooth edges with gold border. Scarlet paper lining inside the shako, with a white paper label printed in black "RUE DE CONDÉ, N° 53 A CLERMONT (OISE) / CHARLIER - FAUÇON / HATTER".
Double scarlet wool pompom, height 10 cm.
Black oiled canvas shako cover.
Transport box made of cardboard covered with blue paper, tied with a lace on each side. The lid has a paper label affixed, printed in black "SPECIAL OMNIBUS AND PACKAGES / OF THE NORTHERN RAILROAD ...".
