Made of gilded brass and finely embossed with the imperial eagle perched on a pedestal on which the number "7" is applied in silver. The ends of the pedestal are decorated with a flaming grenade.

HISTORY:
The 7th Infantry Regiment (7th RI) is an infantry regiment of the French Army created during the Revolution from the Champagne regiment, a French regiment from the Ancien Régime, one of the Six Great Old Regiments. Its marching tune was "Auprès de ma blonde."
It took part in the battles of Valence, Castella in 1812; in 1813 in the German campaign, the battles of Bautzen and Juterbock, Leipzig (16-19 October), Hanau, Tagliamento; in 1814, in the battles of Yecla and Falleja.
On March 16, 1815: the regiment joined the emperor who had just landed; Waterloo.
