SABER "FIRANGHI" WITH EUROPEAN BLADE, South India, 17th century. 30824
Guard entirely made of cast iron with a wide branch topped with a pommel in the shape of a semi-spherical disk from which a high stem emerges and a wide knuckle bow decorated with two finely chiseled kirtimukha, fierce monster faces. The guard of the sword is supported by a slightly curved bivalve shell, under which two relief yalis are placed on either side. Straight blade measuring 99 cm long with a single edge and gutters.

Very good condition, slight oxidation and period patina. Without scabbard.
