Gilt brass hilt. Guard with one molded branch in relief, with beaded edges, engraved with foliage. Pommel in the shape of an ancient helmet with a long-tailed cap, similarly decorated to the guard branch. Triangular-shaped langets, the front one engraved with scrolls. Slightly curved blade with hollow facets in damask, decorated on its first third in polished mirror and gilded with military trophies, flower bouquets, plumed helmets, fasces of lictors, ribbons, and scrolls. Blade length 79 cm, width at the hilt 4 cm. Scabbard in wood covered with black waxed shagreen, with three wide gilt brass embossed fittings:
- Embossed chape on its front face with a medallion representing a republic surrounded by military trophies in a laurel wreath tied at the top by a ribbon, this medallion is on a sandblasted background, surrounded by leafy corollas. In the upper part, protruding molding bordering the cup. A suspension ring. Height of the chape 16.4 cm, width 6.5 cm.
- Central fitting with the same decoration as the chape on its front face, except for the medallion embossed with a fasces of lictors topped with a Phrygian cap on a background of armaments trophy. Height 8.3 cm, width 6.5 cm.
- Scabbard tip similarly embossed on both sides, with a central medallion on each side depicting a fasces of lictors topped with a Phrygian cap on a military trophy background. Gilt brass dard shaped like a lyre. Height of the scabbard tip 21.5 cm, width 5.5 cm.

Perfect condition, the suspension ring on the chape of the scabbard is broken but complete.
