"In Rennes on 29 Vendémiaire Year V of the Republic. General L. HOCHE orders Citizen Marie Hoche to depart from Rennes on the first Brumaire to go to Brest where he will receive further orders. Signed L. Hoche".
Height 18.6 cm x 18.4 cm. Good condition, fold marks present.

- Handwritten header "Bureau of General Officers" 28 Ventôse year IV.
"Requests to be made to the Minister" in two columns: left column the questions, right column the answers.
1 - General Bonaparte being appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Army of Italy, what happens to Scherer, does he remain a Division General in the same army?
Answer: he is resting.
2 - General Beurnouville being appointed to command the Army of the North, what will become of General Moreau?
Answer: To the Army of the Rhine.
3 - The Minister having announced that General Berthier was appointed chief of staff of the Army of Italy, should letters of appointment be sent to him for this army?
Answer: there is a decree.
The order of work requires that the Bureau be informed of the movements and changes of the staff officers ordered directly by the Minister".
