RUSSIAN INFANTRY RIFLE, model 1845. 33361
Octagonal barrel at the breech and then round, length 109 cm, 115.5 cm with the breech tang. Rear sight. Numbered "No. 2938", dated "1848".
Percussion lock marked "M B N M" "C.O.3 - 1848". Light wood stock. All fittings in brass, all marked with an arrow and "N M 1848". Brass trigger guard and butt plate. Butt plate also marked with Russian eagle stamp.
Iron ramrod.
Socket bayonet, 45 cm blade, total length 52 cm.

Fair condition, oxidized barrel and lock, wood with woodworm holes, some minor losses where the ramrod passes through. Bayonet included with the rifle, not of the original model.
