Symmetrical one-piece brass hilt, handle in the form of 26 cords. Straight guard with double quillon. Double-edged blade with central ridge, 48.5 cm long, marked at the base "Manufre Rle de Chatellerault May 1840". Black varnished leather scabbard with two brass fittings, cap numbered "1019" with a leather strap and marked with an anchor stamp. Natural leather sword belt.
