Roman-style hilt, H 15.5 cm, in monobloc brass with symmetrical cruciform guard marked "D 259 V." Handle adorned with 18 rows of scales. Strong pommel deeply engraved on each side with a large effaced fleur-de-lis from the 1830 Revolution (some traces remain). At the top of the pommel, an iron rivet is meant to secure the blade reinforced by three strong transversal iron pins at the center of the handle.
Blade 48.5 cm long, 4.4 cm wide at the base, symmetrical with double hollowed cutting edge with three hollow facets on each side. Base stamped with the "L" of F.L. Lobstein, inspector from June 1811 to July 1821, "B" surrounded by a chain from J.G. Bick, first-class controller from May 1815 to August 1824, and with a "K" under a star from J.I. Krantz, inspector appointed director from September 1816 to February 1819; it is marked on one side "Manufre Rle du Klingenthal," and on the other side "...1817". Scabbard 1816 model in blackened leather with two brass fittings, with a guard cap intended to receive a buffalo strap, and the end of the scabbard with a brass chape.
