Made of black waxed leather, reinforced frame at the top with a 1.5 cm wide leather band, an identical 2.3 cm wide bourdalou, and on each side, two 2 cm wide leather bands sewn in a V shape with a black lacquered metal ventilator at the top center. Black waxed leather visor, green waxed interior, 3.8 cm wide.
Brass plate stamped with the crowned imperial eagle, placed on a cut-out globe with the number "17" and a sparkling Jupiter's lightning, height 11.5 cm, width 11 cm. Tricolored lacquered metal cockade, Ø 5.3 cm.
Interior cap in gilded black basane on its outer edge and entirely in pink silk, marked "CHALVET & VEDRENNE / Place des Terraux 1 / Lyon".
Shako height at the front 12.5 cm, at the back 19 cm.
Scarlet plume aigrette with a tulip-shaped gilt brass pompom.
