BIOGRAPHY:
FOUILLÉ, Georges, Jean, Clément. Born in 1909 in Paris, died in 1994 in Leucate.
Appointed official Navy painter in 1947. Originally destined for the Navy, his health forced him to give it up. George Fouillé then turned to maritime painting, appointed a full member of the Navy painters, he embarked on the Richelieu in 1949.
Georges Fouillé wanted to combine art with historical research. He brings to his work a historian's precision.
He also made lead soldier figurines as well as dioramas and models.
