Sash ornaments composed of two elements in gilded brass: the crown of the Guides connected by three link chains and a radiant sun decorated in its center with the uncrowned imperial eagle.
Cartridge box plate representing a radiant sun in silver metal, with a "N" in its center surmounted by the imperial crown.

NOTE:
These gilded brass ornaments are of the first model adopted for the officers of the Guides in 1853. They will be replaced in 1857 by identical ornaments but in silver metal.
