This catalog is the result of fifteen years of professional experience and twenty-five years of passion for military art. Its purpose is not to gather extraordinary and extremely rare objects; rather, the work consists of a selection of military items and authentic historical mementos representative of the armies of the past centuries. Like the History of France, these objects bear witness to a past rich in events: glorious, unfortunate, lavish, modest, exceptional, or ordinary... It is a privileged means to observe History through Objects and to acquire them if such is your desire. Through nine chapters: the Ancient Monarchy, the Revolution, the First Empire, The First Restoration, the Hundred Days, the Second Restoration, the July Monarchy and the Second Republic, the Second Empire, and the Third Republic, the reader is given a historical synthesis of the period studied and the role of the army at that time. This catalog presents approximately 330 military souvenirs and over 800 uniform buttons distributed in each chapter, with descriptions of various military objects, all photographed in color and sometimes accompanied by historical notes depending on their rarity.
