Colonel GODARD, 79th Infantry Regiment of Battle, Officer of the Legion of Honor writes to "Mr. Thermizien D'Haudricourt, at the Office / of the Glories of the French Nation, Rue de / Seine No. 1434, Faubourg St Germain / in Paris."

"Sir,
I have received with your letter of the 6th Thermidor last the program of the work entitled: The Glories of the French Nation of which you are the author. I kindly request to include me among the subscribers of this work for a copy on black vellum paper priced at 12 F which I will send to you at the time determined by your program.
I have the honor to greet you."

HISTORICAL:
The 79th Infantry Regiment (79th RI) is an infantry regiment of the French Army, with a double heritage, created during the Revolution from the Boulonnais Regiment, a French regiment of the Ancien Régime, and recreated in 1854 from the 4th Light Infantry Regiment, formerly the Corsican Hunters.
