Dark blue wool coat entirely piped in scarlet, closing straight at the front with 17 metal hooks. Lapels in white wool piped in scarlet, each adorned with 7 small round uniform buttons Ø 1.7 cm, made of stamped silver depicting a flaming bomb with the motto "NATIONAL GUARD", two original buttons are marked BAYONNE. Straight collar, H 8 cm. Cuffs pointed with a small uniform button. False vertical back pockets forming three points, each point adorned with a large uniform button Ø 2.5 cm. Tails in white wool piped in scarlet, adorned at the bottom with imperial eagles and grenades embroidered in threads, silver sequins and silver bullion on dark blue wool, sewn on cut scarlet wool.
Shoulder strap loops in scarlet wool with silver lace. Epaulet and shoulder strap in silver braid lined with scarlet wool.
