Gilded bronze hilt. Guard with three branches forming a shell at the front in the shape of a round medallion decorated with the Coat of Arms of the Dauphin. Handle made of black waxed calf-skin covered beech wood, with brass wire filigree. Cap with a short tail and pommel decorated in relief with the initials "PA" for Philippe d'Artois (the Dauphin). Straight and white blade with two gutters, signed on the front face at the base "Coulaux / Frères" with the stamps "B" with a star by E.L. Borson, inspector from August 1814 to September 1816 and "B" surrounded by a chain by J.G. Bick, first class controller from May 1815 to August 1824, and on the back face "Manufre / Rale / du / Klingenthal". Blade length 91.5 cm. Scarlet cloth tie. Steel scabbard with prominent cup with two brass gilded belt rings decorated with laurel leaves, brass gilded loops and rings. Iron chape.
