Brass hilt. Guard with three branches and ears. Pommel with long tail. Handle made of beech wood wrapped in black waxed calfskin, copper wire; it is decorated with a brass oval-shaped nail on each side. Curved blade with hollow facets, length 84.7 cm, ribbed back, richly engraved and gilded on each side and on the first third with trophies of arms, floral motifs and the crowned imperial eagle with outstretched wings, all on a blued background; it is signed in a central cartouche, on the front face of the blade, "Coulaux / Frères" and on the back face "manufacture / de / Klingenthal." Scarlet wool knot. Scabbard entirely made of brass, engraved on the front with laurel branches, oak branch, trophies of arms, flower, and acanthus leaves. Two belt loops decorated with a geometric ribbon with brass studs and rings. Scabbard entry cup with protruding molding. Steel festooned blade.
