SWORD AND DRAGON OF MUSKETEERS FROM THE 1st COMPANY OF THE KING'S MILITARY HOUSEHOLD (Gray Musketeer), model 1814, Restoration period. 32704
Gilt brass hilt. Guard with six branches forming an openwork shell of a musketeer cross fleur-de-lys in the center in silver, quillon with relief fluting. Pommel with short tail decorated with lines. Grip made of wood wrapped in calfskin filigree in copper and brass. Blade with two hollow edges, length 91.7 cm, stamped "AP" from the Paris Workshop, signed on the back "Frères Weyersberg à Solingen". Natural leather sword knot. Black varnished leather scabbard with three brass fittings decorated with lines, upper part of the throat with raised ferrule, scabbard tip with a steel chape.
Dragoon made of golden trimmings comprised of a round cord ending in a tassel with large fringes known as "spinach seeds" with the lower part in scarlet cloth.

Restoration period.
Good to very good condition. Sword never cleaned since the period, the guard has retained its gilding with some wear on the protruding parts, the blade is slightly shortened, missing part of the sword knot, scabbard fittings have lost their gilding except for the raised ferrule of the throat. The dragoon is of a senior officer's model with wear at the base of the cord and normal oxidation of the trimmings.
NOTE:
The sword was found with this dragoon in the family, the characteristic of the fringes lined with scarlet cloth confirms this attribution.
