Mounting in "à la Turque" style. Cap with a short tail, molded with flowers, rosettes, and acanthus leaves, with a lid in the shape of a lion's head. Handle of wood covered with leather filigreed with silvered copper. Symmetrical guard molded at the center of an oak leaf crown upon which is attached an uncrowned imperial eagle with spread wings, on the reverse side. Light cavalry blade with hollow facets and gutters, length 81.2 cm. Scabbard with a wooden core covered in embossed brass, with fitted stamped plates in windows, the upper plate flanked by two suspension hooks is cast and chiseled with attributes: shako with plume, drum, oboe, amid foliage and other arabesques; scabbard signed on the back of the chape "Manceaux / à Paris." Three reinforcing bands feature a laurel wreath design. The cast brass tip is chiseled on both sides with a lion's head on the exterior.

Perfect condition, saber retaining all its original gilding, slight wear on the scabbard's suspension hooks and at the back of the chape, minor damage to the scabbard's cup.
