Bust portrait of a lieutenant of the Grenadiers on horseback of the Royal Guard, wearing a dark blue uniform piped in scarlet with silver buttons and silver grenade decorations at the collar, epaulettes, shoulder knots, and aiguillettes. He is depicted with crossed arms on the hilt of his sword, with his bearskin hat in the background showing the back portion with the silver Arms of France and its silver aiguillette cord.
Measures 81 cm x 65 cm.
Presented in an old black lacquered wooden frame, measuring 95 cm x 78 cm.
