Made of dark sky blue cloth trimmed with black wool with scalloped edges. Cuffs in the same color as the uniform cloth, edged with a black wool braid topped with a gilded silver braid forming the rank of sub-lieutenant. The back of the sleeve closes with 11 buttonholes adorned with small gold-plated brass bell buttons (diameter 0.8 cm) and framed by a gilded silver braid (width 1 cm). The back is richly decorated with black wool braids. A rectangular piece of white cloth decorated with a sacred Catholic heart in scarlet cloth and gold thread (H 6 cm, width 4.5 cm) is sewn at the left chest level of the lining. The inner lining and sleeves are in scarlet fabric.
