Hussars' Horse Cloth, First Empire. 31123
Sheepskin horse cloth lined with strong ecru chevron canvas, trimmed all around with a scalloped crimson wool braid (width 4 cm) on its outer part.
Its length, measured from its front end to its rear end, is 90 cm at the top, not including its border. Its width at the front end, or at its "arms," is 100 cm. The lower front ends, or the arms of the horse cloth, are rounded at the front and have "rear points."
At the front, there are two openings for the straps, lined on the inside with stitched calf leather. Similarly, an opening at the rear on the top is made for the crupper to pass through.
The lining in the middle of the horse cloth is reinforced with a calf padding.
