OFFICER'S SABRETACHE IN FIELD CAMPAIGN UNIFORM OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD ARTILLERY ON HORSEBACK, model 1810, First Empire. 32598
Black varnished leather flap, H 27 cm, width at the top 17.5 cm, width at the bottom 24.5 cm. In the center of the flap, two molded and chiseled gilded brass plates are attached. The central plate features an imperial eagle with outstretched wings holding two crossed cannons in its talons, H of the plate 12.5 cm, width 13.5 cm. Above this plate, an imperial crown is attached, H 4 cm, width 4 cm. The outer edge of the flap is trimmed with black varnished folded leather and sewn.
Interior pocket in soft black varnished leather lined with blue velvet and bordered with burgundy morocco leather.
At the top, three leather loops hold round brass rings (diameter 3.1 cm, thickness 2.8 cm).
