Octagonal barrel at the breech, length 97.5 cm, length with the breech tang 103 cm. Caliber 17 mm. Walnut stock with a long butt. Brass trigger guard replaced by a piece engraved with two initials "P V" and a flower. All brass fittings attached to the stock with steel springs. Brass trigger guard shaped like a stylized fleur-de-lis. Drum lockplate signed "St Etienne Mfre Royale," marked with a fleur-de-lis. Brass butt plate.
Iron ramrod with a nail head.
Total length of the weapon: 138 cm.
Socket bayonet, iron blade of 36.5 cm in length, total length 44.5 cm.

Restoration period.
Good condition, wood chip along the stock on the lockplate side for a length of 5 cm, weapon shortened for civilian use, spring at the muzzle broken and partially missing, thumb piece likely replaced by the original owner with their initials.
