Gilt bronze hilt. Three-branch guard forming a shell decorated with the Arms of France surrounded by laurel branches and a bundle of flags. Pommel with a short tail decorated with palmettes and laurel branches. Grip made of wood covered with black waxed calf leather with copper wire filigree. Straight blade with two hollow sides, length 1 meter, signed on the back "Manufacture Royale du Klingenthal avril 1821," stamped with the "B" in a laurel wreath of the inspector J.J.C. Bureau, February 1819-March 1822, and the "B" surrounded by a chain of J.G. Bick, first-class inspector May 1815-August 1824. Scarlet cloth knot. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings, marked "76."
