The members of the Board of Administration request absolute leave for five hussars from the incorporation of the chasseurs à cheval of the Hanoverian legion who wish to return to their homeland.
Handwritten note on the back: "Respond that regulations do not allow for the granting of leave as a favor".

* The Hanoverian Legion was a military unit created in 1803 by Napoleon Bonaparte in the Electorate of Hanover. Its organization spanned two years, until 1805, due to recruitment difficulties.

The Major writes: "We have just been informed that Your Excellency has given orders for the ranks of the 6th, 3rd, and 7th Companies of our War Squadrons to return to the depot but as they are about to arrive and no further information has been received about their ultimate destination, we kindly ask Your Excellency to inform us if we should complete these Companies in men and horses before doing so for the 5th Squadron, or, if not, if we can use these ranks to complete the officers for the 4th Squadron that has left and the one that remains here for the 5th".
The rest of the letter details the difficulties in forming the 4th and 5th Squadrons, for which currently missing are 1 captain, 1 lieutenant, and 3 second lieutenants to complete the former of these Squadrons.

- A third letter from this regiment, undated, is included, with the heading "Conscription Bureau" written by the Regiment Major to General Baron d'Haskel, Director General of military conscription.
The Major informs the Divisional General that he is writing a letter to the Minister of War to report that 90 men have been mounted for the Army of Germany and that there are 50 horses remaining in the depot for which there will be a shortage of stable guards and police guards. "... I ask you to take into consideration this very detrimental situation to the government and help us obtain a significant recruitment so that the horses can be cared for ...".
