The royalist symbols on the vignette have been scratched or covered with black ink.
Duplicate. Red wax seal (in poor condition).
Absolute discharge issued to Jean Paul Françoise BOUSSARD, "to retire wherever he pleases," says La Forme, hunter of the Dassas Company in the Royal Auvergne Regiment. Native of Corbigni (Nivernois). Enlisted on August 24, 1777 until April 20, 1788. "Has always served impeccably."
Made in Calais on October 6, 1790.
H 21.5 cm X 28 cm.
Fair condition except for the right edge of the document (stained and torn without affecting the handwritten parts), folds, damp stains.
* The Royal-Auvergne Regiment is an infantry regiment of the Kingdom of France, created in 1597 under the name of the Lespinasse Borough Regiment, which became the 18th Line Infantry Regiment from the Revolution onwards.
