Absolute military leave issued to Julien SEDIE, rifleman of the 3rd Company in the 3rd Battalion, native of the Pontivy district (Saint Tinant?), for war injuries. Aged 49 years.
Done in Strasbourg on the 18 Germinal year 9 (April 8, 1801).
On the reverse, a certificate of visit from the Military Hospital of Huningue attesting to his injuries: gunshot wound to the right thigh and inguinal hernia. Done on the 10 Brumaire year 9 (November 1, 1800).
Dimensions within the border: H 25.8 cm x 35.8 cm.
Fair condition, folds, damp stains, lower edge of the document with two tears (outside the border).
