Unconditional leave with military reward granted to Citizen KAYSER, drum major of the Staff of said Battalion, born in Wissembourg, Bas-Rhin department.
Aged 69 years old.
He has served since the year "seventeen hundred and forty-three until this day, participating in the campaigns to Hanover. His old age and wounds make him unable to continue his services. He departs to enjoy the military reward."
Done at Albertweiller, 22 Messidor year 2 of the French Republic, one & indivisible. (July 10, 1794).
On the back, a second wax seal, identical to the one on the front, in perfect condition.
Three handwritten attestations, one signed "Rougemont" for the services of Citizen KAYSER.
