Turban made of garance fabric mounted on a felt structure, the side and back seams trimmed with jonquil wool braid, height at the front 70 mm. Cap made of the same fabric in oval shape (13 mm x 11 mm) framed with jonquil wool braid.
Band sewn at the bottom of the turban, in dark blue fabric in one piece, height 35 mm, bordered at the top with jonquil wool braid, as well as at the bottom at the level of the visor. At the front of the band is sewn a piece of dark blue fabric, number "81" in jonquil wool cloth, height 28 mm.
Visor made of thick cowhide in square shape with rounded corners, length 45 mm. Cockade in embossed white iron, tricolor lacquered, diameter 45 mm. In the center, the cockade has a hole to receive the folded and soldered tail of the button inside the cockade. Cockade trim formed with two strands of 4 mm square jonquil wool braid doubled around the button tail. The four strands together have a width of 16 mm and are tucked between the turban and the cap band. Button in copper tomback, flattened semi-spherical, diameter 14 mm.
Inner cap composed of a leather band, paper label glued to the bottom of the cap (largely absent). Pompon composed of four elements: flame in red wool thistle, diameter 45 mm; small red wool collar; wooden sphere covered with dark blue fabric with wool braid on its joint, adorned with the number 1 in cut brass, iron stem.

Worn specimen with several moth holes on the band, wear at certain points of the braid, sweatband broken at the base of its seam at the back of the cap, secure at the front, visor in very good condition and well maintained on the cap. Uncommon headwear in fairly good condition.
