HUNTING FEDERATION DAGGER, Hirschfänger for members of the German Hunting Society, circa 1900, Second Reich. 32276
Of traditional form, with brass metal parts, flat pommel decorated with lines, hilt with double reversed quillons ending in stag horn finials, hilt plate in a palmette shape, stag horn grip adorned with three oval brass nails. Single-edged steel blade, etched with floral motifs on both sides, length 50 cm. Scarlet cloth knot. Strong blackened and polished leather scabbard, brass chape and tip, suspension system featuring a tassel as a button.

Good condition. Scabbard of the model, but not of this weapon, blade length larger than scabbard, reaching through the chape.
