Made entirely of black wool, closing straight at the front with nine gilded brass buttons mounted on wooden bases stamped with the engineer's pot in head and cuirass insignia, Ø 1.7 cm. Collar height 7.5 cm. At the lower part of the vest, two horizontally placed flap pockets are designed like three points. The top of the pocket is positioned 10.5 cm from the bottom of the vest, with a pocket width of 13 cm and flap height of 4.5 cm at the central point, vest height 38 cm. The back of the vest is made of ecru cotton canvas, adjusting with laces. The front part of the vest is lined with brown silk canvas.
