This is the FRENCH NATURALIZATION PETITION OF DAOUD SELUM, born in St. Jean d'Acre in Syria, a reformed Volunteer Mameluke of the Imperial Guard, residing in Marseille at 238 Rue Servian de la Lignière, House 6, Faction 16. Marseille, February 24, 1807. Signed "A. Chaudon" chief secretary of the Mairie. Two black ink stamps "MAIRIE DE MARSEILLE" and one black ink stamp "PRÉFECTURE DES BOUCHES DU RHÔNE."

- CERTIFICATION proving the relationship between Daoud SELOUM and his father Daoud SELOUM, a French-protected individual, who died in Cyprus. Document written in Arabic: "The reason is freedom. Regarding the history of the son of the late Dawoud Saloum, a witness from Acre, and since it is based on the testimony of a man known to have transmitted or provided it, and as requested from us, as well as the sons of the late Dawoud Saloum, witness to what he has mentioned, and to inform Dawoud of this history and the reputation of its transmitter and the aforementioned Mahmoud, it is necessary to write the history of said Dawoud and the sons of said Saloum among the notifications concerning it, written in the bath of Arabi Khalt and in the month of Joumada al-Awwal, which is the date of its transmission, and in May, it is said that it is 10 and the money.
