TUNIC
Scarlet cloth tunic. Collar, piping, cuff flaps, and skirt lining in dark sky blue cloth. Collar trimmed with a 2 cm wide woven braid galloon. Nine buttonholes in white thread cul-de-de-dé galloon (apparent width of the buttonhole in doubled galloon: 4 cm), the top buttonhole is 18.5 cm wide, decreasing in width for the lower ones to reach 7 cm at the bottom. Shoulder loops in silver braid with a center stripe in scarlet silk. Scarlet cuff flaps piped in blue and edged with a 2 cm wide woven silver braid galloon. Rectangular cuff flaps, scarlet piped and adorned with three small uniform buttons. Buttons in stamped tin with the imperial eagle and the inscription "IMPERIAL GUARD". On the back, false vertical pockets piped in dark sky blue, each adorned with three large module uniform buttons and a belt loop in scarlet piped dark sky blue attached with a small uniform button.
Tunic lined with quilted ecru canvas on the front, and dark sky blue cloth at the bottom. Regimental stamp of the cuirassiers with the imperial crown followed by the inscription "GI.2C", numbered "706" "2496", dated from the 4th quarter of 1863, with a natural leather belt at the bottom.
AGLETS AND EPAULETS
White wool aiguillettes ending in polished white metal ferrets.
White wool epaulettes, soft fringe called "well ropes", lined with dark blue cloth with small uniform button in stamped tin with the imperial eagle and the inscription "IMPERIAL GUARD".

Good condition, some minor issues with the tunic, a detached epaulette strap on one side, some accidents and repairs to the inner lining, epaulette linings with moth holes and losses. One button detached but present.
