The document recounts the abduction of Lieutenant LEFRANC, 1st paymaster officer of the 1st Regiment of Chasseurs à Pied, traveling from Wilna to Kono in Prussia, while carrying funds. "fully informed by Mr. Denis Jean Sarazin Lefranc, 1st Lieutenant Paymaster of said regiment of an abduction by armed force that enemies gathered made on his person [...]."
Done at Elbing on January 8, 1813. 4 initials.
The report is then certified by the Inspectors at Reviews of the Imperial Guard "[...] the paymaster officer of this Corps had been forced to abandon the cash box and papers to the enemy's possession [...].
At Elbing, this January 8, 1813."

Fair condition, folds, upper and right edges yellowed, small tear at the top near the fold.
