Memorandum in favor of François CRUSSORD, born in 1776 in Batran (Battrans), department of Haute-Saône, Company No. 3rd. Made in Paris on 9 Pluviôse year 11 (January 29, 1803).
- Reason for this request: "This soldier is suffering from chronic rheumatic pains dating back to the campaign in Egypt. These pains make it impossible for him to ride a horse".
- Enlisted on March 8, 1787, in the 10th Regiment of chasseurs à cheval until the 1st Vendémiaire year 5 when he joined the Guides of General Bonaparte. Participated in the campaigns of 1792, 1793, ...
- Summary of services and campaigns: 25 years, 8 months, 29 days for 9 war campaigns.
- Health officer's certificate on his physical condition, requesting absolute retirement.
On the last page, signatures of the members of the Corps' administrative Council, the General commanding the Consuls' Cavalry Bessières, and the Inspector for the Guard Reviews.
Double sheet. 2 pages. H 40 cm x 26 cm.
Good condition, fold marks, tear of 1.5 cm at the bottom of the central fold.
