- The Chief of Brigade, commanding the Infantry Guard, "allows citizen Elie Nicolas Stanislas PIETTE, hunter of the Consular Guard, to stay in his home to recover his health until the 1st messidor next." H 18.4 cm x 11.7 cm. 1 page. Fair condition, folds reinforced at the back with tape, small holes with loss (outside the text).
- Letter with header of the CONSULS' GUARD "LIBERTY EQUALITY" with a beautiful vignette of the French Republic. Black ink stamp "GENERAL SECRETARY 17". With address "To the Citizen / Minister of War / In Paris".

The Chief of Brigade, commanding the Infantry Guard, writes to the Minister of War asking for the admission into the foot hunters corps of Citizen Pierre Noel SEGUIN, hunter in the 11 1/2 Light Brigade 1st Battalion, 1st Company.
Double sheet, 1 page. H 23.2 cm x 18.5 cm. Good condition, fold marks.
NOTE: The consular guard was reorganized (8 September 1800) and now composed of two battalions of grenadiers and one battalion of foot hunters, each with eight companies. It had a music band of 48 musicians. The guard was recruited among active duty military personnel from all branches, with at least three campaigns under their belt or having received a weapon of honor, or being wounded, of good conduct, with a minimum height of 5 feet 6 inches for grenadiers and 5 feet 3 inches for hunters.
