BORD PISTOL, model 1779 2nd type, Old Monarchy. 32153
Round barrel, length 18.5 cm, 21.7 cm with the breech tail, marked on its left side "85", caliber 17.1 mm. 1777 system lock with inclined brass pan. Reduced size brass counterplate in spoon shape. Engraved back action lock with cursive letters "Mre Rle de Tulle" and stamped "R" crowned by Claude Joseph Rouillard, controller in Tulle from 1779 to 1792. Brass fittings and iron trigger stamped "C" crowned by Jean Pierre Compas senior, inspector in Tulle from 1779 to 1792. Wooden stock with the sailor's name "Mainivet" engraved, stamped on the left under the iron belt hook "JR" crowned by Jean Rouillard, controller in Tulle from 1784 to 1783. Belt hook and ramrod both stamped.
