Brass hilt. Three-branch guard with a hallmark on the main branch and serial number "877." Short-tailed cap. Handle in black waxed calf leather, filigree brass. Curved blade with hollow bevels, length 91.6 cm, engraved on the back "Mre d'Armes de Châtt January 1876 = light cavalry ...." Natural buffalo cravat. Steel scabbard with a single suspension ring also marked "877."

Good condition, missing a large portion of the filigree.
