Dark blue cloth-covered leather shako with a blue lacquered ventilator on each side and braided yellow passementerie. Top braid made of yellow wool, 2 cm wide, black shiny leather top. Black shiny leather chin strap, height 2.3 cm, metallic cockade stamped with a radiant sun and tricolor lacquer, held to the frame by a smooth brass button and a yellow wool loop. Front plate made of stamped and cut brass depicting a hunting horn. Rounded visor made of thick black shiny leather. Interior headband made of black waxed sheepskin. Frame marked inside with ink "3-52c./Ais GODILLOT / PARIS", size marked with a pen "53", registered under the top with ink "2480 ?" (difficult to read). Interior black shiny leather chin strap. Height at the front 11 cm, at the back 15.5 cm. Green wool pompon.
