Brass handle fluted with 15 ribs, with two steel rivets and internal spring. Brass crossguard with upward curved quillon. Yatagan blade with double curvature, inscribed "Mre Impale de Châtlt avril 1857 = S.B. mle 1842", length 57.5 cm. Steel scabbard. Black varnished leather bayonet frog.

Good to very good condition, light oxidation on the crossguard.
