Roman-style hilt (H 15.5 cm) made of one-piece brass with symmetrical crossguard and handle adorned with 18 rows of scales. Strong pommel deeply engraved on each side with a large fleur-de-lis. At the top of the pommel, an iron rivet is intended to secure the blade reinforced by three strong transverse iron pins on the center of the handle.
Crossguard marked "896", several punches under the crossguard "G", "B", "N".
Blade (47.5 cm long, width at the base 4.4 cm) symmetrical with double-edged hollowed out by three hollow facets on each side.
Blackened leather scabbard with two brass fittings, with a pommel cap intended to receive a buff strap and marked "2046".

Good condition, fleur-de-lis re-engraved, composite scabbard, old leather not from the original model.
