Brass hilt. Three-branch guard marked "51321", well stamped by the manufacturer. Short-tailed pommel. Wooden grip wrapped in calfskin filigree brass. Straight blade, 87 cm long, engraved on the back "Mre d'Armes de Châtt January 1886 = Light Cavalry model 1882". Natural buffalo tie. Steel scabbard, also marked with "51321" at the guard.
Scabbard cover in dark brown canvas and leather.
