Blued barrels known as "Twisted Barrel," following the pattern of An IX, without decoration or inscription, length 20 cm, with the breech 25.7 cm, caliber 17 mm, stamped with the "P" of the inspector PREAU, in 1817 and 1818. Locks of the Cavalry model An XIII with a slight bend at the battery, signed "Manuf. Roy. De Maubeuge" and stamped with a "C" under the crown of Jean Nicaise COMPAS, the first controller in Maubeuge from 1816 to 1824. Walnut mounts with long stocks and finely checkered steep grips, each ending with a straight rim topped with an elliptical cap decorated in relief with three fleurs-de-lis. All fittings in brass. Under-guards ending with a stylized fleur-de-lis. Brass counterplates. Iron ramrods.
