PISTOL OF THE GENDARMES OF THE KING'S MILITARY HOUSE, model 1763, Ancient Monarchy. 30300
Octagonal breech then round barrel, length 29 cm, with the breech 34 cm, caliber 17 mm. Top of the barrel engraved "Gendarmes of the King's Guard", stamped "CB" under a crown and a fleur-de-lys stamp. Breech decorated with lines, decoration ending in foliage. Flat body lock plate signed "Simon Jourjon" and stamped "SEB" under a crown. Walnut stock. Gilded brass fittings decorated with lines. Long-eared pommel with engraved brass cap of an exploding bomb. Wooden ramrod with an iron end cap.
Total length of the pistol 46.5 cm.
