GIBERNE PLATE FOR THE TROOPS OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OF PARIS, model 1789, Constitutional Monarchy. 30893

Stamped brass plate, oval-shaped, height 9.4 cm, width 11.9 cm. It is decorated in relief with a coat of arms featuring the Arms of the city of Paris (ship) with a scattering of fleur-de-lis at the top, topped with a Phrygian cap and a ribbon bearing the inscription "LA NATION LE ROI LA LOI", background with a bundle of flags and a trophy of cannons. Outer edges with raised molding. The plate is folded on its back side on an iron wire forming four fixing feet.

NOTE:
There are several variants of this plate model. In addition to differences in the decorations, the main variants consist of the spelling of the words ROI and LOI on the banner at the top of the plate. Four variants exist: ROI and LOI; ROY and LOI; ROI and LOY; ROY and LOY.
