Eight-sided barrel at the muzzle, 102.8 cm in length, 108.5 cm in length with the breech tail, stamped with a "B". Caliber of 17 mm. Walnut stock with a long stock numbered "202", with a hot stamp on the buttstock of Daniel Bouissavy, inspector in Saint-Étienne from 1816 to 1822 (this stamp is rarely found in Saint-Étienne but more commonly on the weapons of the King's Household Guards, among others on the pistols of the King's Bodyguard). Brass thumb piece stamped in the style of the King's Bodyguard weapons. All fittings in brass fixed to the stock by steel springs. Brass trigger guard cut in the shape of a stylized fleur-de-lis. Drum lockplate signed "MANUFre DE CHARLEVILLE", also stamped with a star-marked "M". Buttplate with the marking "4C" (4th Company) and numbered "30" on the return.
