ROYAL BODYGUARDS PISTOL, first model, 1814-1816, First Restoration. 30013

The "twisted barrel" pistol, based on the An IX model, thunder gilt with Alphand hallmark, blued along the entire length and marked in gold letters: "Bodyguards of the King." Caliber 17 mm. Barrel length 20 cm, with the breech tail 24.9 cm.
Lockplate of An XIII cavalry model with slight bevel at the battery, stamped with a crowned "B" by Daniel Bouissavy and signed "Maubeuge Manuf Rle,” guilloche screws.
Stock with very sloping grip ending in a straight cap. All fittings in brass, trigger guard terminating in a fleur-de-lis, grip pommel in the shape of a relief-molded ellipse of the Arms of France. Iron ramrod.
Total length 35 cm.
