OFFICER'S HORSE ARTILLERY BELT PLATE, 1846 model, July Monarchy - Second Empire. 27710

The plate is composed of a double round-shaped closure buckle made of gilded brass, featuring in relief two crossed cannons surmounted by a pile of cannonballs and at the top, a flaming bomb (diameter 5 cm). On the outer part, a gilded brass ring is welded for the passage of the belt, while on the inner part, a horizontal ring holds a gilded brass S-shaped loop with two serpent heads for closure.
